During the initial consultation we will walk through your property and I will listen to your ideas as well as make suggestions. We will also visit your garden from inside, looking through the windows. Walking through the common areas in your house and looking out the windows will allow me to see the space from the same perspective you will mostly view it. All of this will help me to determine how you want your landscape to look and feel now and in the future. At the end of the consultation I will let you know how we can help. This can include a design contract, bid proposal or maintenance contract. The design process is the most important. It gives us a map to follow. We start with your ideas. After we collaborate and make some decisions on what to include I will take photos and measurements of the property. These measurements will allow me to make a to scale drawing of your space. My artistic skills are then put into place by creating a drawing that incorporates your landscaping goals and my landscaping expertise. At the end of the process we have a map that includes hardscaping, water features, sculpture and plant material. Although I highly recommend going through the design process, I am also willing to work with clients who have specific ideas and trust my ability to create them. Bid proposals are available for clients who choose this.
